Terms & Conditions
TRAILERS4HIRELDN – RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions apply to all trailer rentals provided by TRAILERS4HIRELDN and form part of the rental contract between the Owner and the Renter upon booking confirmation.
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The Renter must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid UK driving licence suitable for towing.
- The trailer may only be used for lawful purposes and must not be used for off-road driving, racing, or in breach of any road traffic laws.
- Trailers must not be taken outside of the UK without prior written consent.
2. BOOKING & PAYMENT
- All rentals must be paid in full before collection. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has cleared and the required identification and documentation have been provided.
- A security deposit is required before collection. This may be used to cover damage, late return, or breach of contract.
3. COLLECTION & RETURN
- The trailer must be inspected and signed for by both parties at the time of collection and return using the standard condition checklist.
- Late returns may incur additional charges. Trailers returned more than 48 hours late without prior notice may be reported as stolen.
4. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RENTER
- The Renter is responsible for inspecting the trailer prior to use and reporting any defects before departure.
- The Renter assumes full liability for:
- Any damage, theft, or loss during the rental period.
- Any legal or traffic violations, including penalties or towing fees.
- Ensuring correct and safe towing, including use of appropriate towing equipment.
- The trailer must not be sublet, transferred, or assigned to any third party.
5. INSURANCE
- The Renter confirms that they hold appropriate insurance, including public liability cover, for the duration of the rental.
- TRAILERS4HIRELDN does not provide insurance for the Renter or their vehicle. Lack of insurance does not limit the Renter’s liability.
6. DAMAGES & REPAIRS
- All damages not noted at the time of collection will be assumed to have occurred during the rental and will be charged to the Renter.
- Standard charges for common damage are listed in the Damage Cost Schedule and are enforceable in full.
- TRAILERS4HIRELDN reserves the right to recover the full commercial cost of any repair or replacement, including loss of hire where applicable.
7. TERMINATION & CANCELLATION
- The Owner may cancel or terminate a booking at any time if:
- The Renter provides false or misleading information.
- The trailer is at risk of misuse, harm, or breach of the agreement.
- In the event of termination due to Renter breach, the deposit may be withheld and additional charges may apply.
8. LIABILITY & INDEMNITY
- TRAILERS4HIRELDN shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to damage to the Renter’s vehicle or cargo.
- The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless TRAILERS4HIRELDN from all claims, damages, or losses arising from use of the trailer.
9. GOVERNING LAW
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes shall be resolved initially through mediation and, if necessary, through the courts of England.
10. ACCEPTANCE
By proceeding with a booking and taking possession of a trailer, the Renter confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
